China now offers several visa-free travel policies, allowing citizens from over 90 countries to visit for up to 30 days without a visa.

Travelers can apply for an L-type tourist visa, valid for up to 3 months, without the need for an invitation letter.

Travel Arrangements

Arrival by Air or Train
- The nearest airport is Shiyan Wudangshan Airport (十堰武当山机场), and the closest high-speed rail station is Wudangshan West Station (武当山西站).

Pickup Service

We offer a pickup service from both the airport and rail station.

Alternatively, you may take bus or taxi directly to the Wudangshan Scenic Area (Northeast Gate)(in Chinese: 武当山风景区-北门,十堰市丹江口市武当路附近).

Wudangshan Scenic Area Operating Hours
-
Our accommodations are within the Wudangshan Scenic Area, which operates daily from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Entry and exit are restricted outside these hours, and the shuttle service within the scenic area also stops operating.

However, once inside, you are free to explore the scenic area anytime.

For late arrivals after closing, we can arrange a nearby hotel stay, so you can enter the scenic area the following morning.

Departure Information

Please note that we do not provide drop-off services after the session ends. You can head directly to the airport or railway station, or take some time to explore the charming town at the base of Wudang Mountain.

The shuttle ride from our accommodation to the scenic area gate takes about two hours, and taxi from the gate to the airport or high-speed rail station takes around one hour.

To ensure a smooth and stress-free journey, we recommend scheduling your departure ticket for 12:00 PM or later, allowing sufficient travel time.

Staying Connected

Please ensure your phone is set up for calls and internet access in China. You may activate international roaming, purchase a local SIM card, or rent a portable Wi-Fi hotspot to stay connected with us and meet any travel needs.

Some services, such as Google and Gmail, may be restricted in China. If you need to access these sites, we recommend consulting your mobile provider for international roaming or VPN options.

We highly recommend downloading WeChat, a messaging app widely used in China. With WeChat, you can easily stay in touch with us from anywhere in the world. It also features a payment function, which is explained in the Payment Options in China – Mobile Payment section.

- You can easily withdraw RMB cash from ATMs. Currency exchange services are also available at airports and authorized banks.

With WeChat Pay, you can easily make purchases and transfer money from your smartphone. Simply link your bank card, and transactions are processed quickly by scanning QR codes, ensuring smooth and efficient payments throughout your trip in China.

Comfortable Clothing & Sneakers
- Pack outfits suitable for both practice sessions and mountain walks. During summer, be prepared for heavy sweating—bring plenty of lightweight t-shirts and sunscreen to stay comfortable and protected.

Warm Layers
- In winter, temperatures can drop significantly, so bring extra layers to keep warm and comfortable.

Toiletries & Towel
- Don’t forget your essential personal care items for daily use. If needed, these items can also be purchased at supermarket on Wudang Mountain.

- Ensure you have your passport and any required travel documents for a smooth journey.

- We recommend using smart translation apps, such as Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, or iTranslate, to support communication throughout your travel and stay in China.
